Actually what I have started to consider is buy cash cars here and sell them in Mexico. What do I need to do?

Q: What Texas car dealership has the $4000 push pull or tow offer for used cars this weekend?

A: push, pull, or tow is just a come on. You would pay the same negotiating anytime. if your trying to dump a junker out of the yard then that is one thing…but if you think you are getting a “better deal” by giving them a worthless vehicle and getting a $4000 discount for it…well….they would give ya the discount with out the barely running 100.00 car thrown in the deal..lol

Q: How can i start a used car dealer in texas?
I am interested in starting a used car dealer in a small town in texas. What all do i need to get going? Is it difficult to get a dealer license? What is the best place to get a loan to start a business? A local bank? Any answers will be greatly appreciated!

A: http://www.txdmv.gov/whatyouneed/forms/dealer2.htm

That’s where you get the forms needed to get your business started. It’s going to cost you for the land needed to establish your business, plus the $500 to get the first license you’ll need.

Leasing License
Lease Facilitator
The lease facilitator license allows a person to hold himself or herself out to be a leasing agent or leasing company. This person solicits someone to enter a contract of agreement to lease a vehicle. A lease facilitator by definition, is not the lessor or owner of a vehicle, but rather someone who puts the lessor, selling dealer and lessee (buyer) together.
Lessor License
The lessor license is required of a person who, under the terms of a lease agreement in excess of 180 days, gives another person the right to possess and use a motor vehicle that is titled in the name of the lessor.
A lessor licensee does not need to have a lease facilitator license to facilitate leases for themselves. The lessor license includes the ability to facilitate its own leases. However, if the lessor facilitates leases between lessees and other lessors, they would need a lea

Q: I am buying a used car in Texas from a Private seller, can I say that I paid $1 at DMV to avoid taxes?
Private seller
used car
Texas
DMV
It is a 2001 Honda Civic, could I say that I paid half as much as I paid…or would they be able to look it up somewhere

A: don’t be greedy. Below a certain point the DMV will assess tax at what they decide is the value of the car. Who would you rather have that power. You should not record the sale at less than about two thirds book value.
Isn’t the penalty for all crime in Texas death?

Q: How much does it cost to register a used car in Texas?
I just financed a used car for the first time and want to know how much it will cost to have it registered and inspected. Ive never done this before so I have no clue about any of this stuff other than knowing I have to do it. lol Thanks for any help.

A: It is based on the cost of the car. Just call the office and they can tell you.

Q: Is it illegal to sell a used car in Texas without the inspection sticker being current.?
I’m selling a used car that can’t be inspected because of speedometer cable broken. Am honest when selling that it needs to be fixed up in order to pass inspection. Someone said that it was illegal. Are they right or trying to con me down? Thanks.

A: Of course not..

You need a current inspection sticker to get it registered for
plates so you can drive it on the streets…

Q: Buying a used car in Texas for Illinois: use tax refund???
I -as an Illinois resident- plan to buy a used car from a private seller in Texas and drive it straight back to Illinois. Can I claim a use tax refund from the state of Texas? I know that California has such a provision for out-of-state buyers, assuming you can prove that you left the state immediately and didn’t hang around (credit car receipts from gas stations, hotels etc etc). I wonder if Texas has such a provision. Google didn’t provide a clear answer.

A: If you are buying from an individual, they will not collect Texas sales or use tax.

Q: Will I have to pay sales tax on a used car in Texas?
I have heard that in some states, you don’t have to pay sales tax on a used car. I am buying from a dealership. If I do pay sales tax, how much is it?

A: if your state charges sales tax on everything else, you will have to pay it on a used car too…

sales tax rates are determined by where you live, normally between 6 and 8% ..

the tax rate in Houston likely will be different from Dallas-Fort Worth

The tax rate may or may not be different from one suburb of Houston to another…

It doesn’t matter where you buy your car, you pay tax, according to where you live…

If you look on a receipt from a local store, it will show your local tax rate…

Where I live in Missouri, the tax rate is 7.125% so tax on a a 10,000.00 car would be 712.50…..

Q: I’m trying to buy a used car in Texas for the company I work for, do you know the requisites?
The company is new here in the US, and all of the owners are still working on the paperwork to get their US driver’s licence, do you know if this can bring me any problems? We have international driver’s licences issued in Mexico City.

A: don’t know but u might find yr answer here–

also if you buy from a dealership they ought to know the rules

Q: I’m buying a used car in Texas, and need car insurance coverage; what is the minumum required by law?
Car insurance in Houston is so expensive!! I was wondering what is the minimum coverage that I need to pay? I can’t afford to pay almost half of my monthly payment on car insurance!! That’s crazy!

Do you know what is the minimum required by law? It would be a 60 months leased car.

Thank you!
GOD bless!

A: Hi Linda,

In Texas the minimum requirements for liability are 25/50/25. This insurance will cost you about $25 a month.

There is a good insurance company in Dallas. See my source below.

Hope this helps. Good luck and God bless :)

Q: If i buy a used car in texas from an individual – do i need to pay sales tax? what are the documentation reqd?
what are the documents (if you have a sample format) that would be nice.

A: Yes, you will pay the sales tax.

You’ll need the assigned title from the seller, the bill of sale, proof of insurance, proof of ID, and proof of TX residency to register the vehicle.

In TX the tax is levied at the higher of the BOS price or the state’s estimated value of the vehicle unless the vehicle was purchased from a licensed TX dealer. If it’s bought from a TX licensed dealer, the BOS price is used.
