I saw an advertisement on tv in houston and they are having a big inventory sale for no credit bad credit etc. its over by reliant stadium anyone hear of it and know where it is or how I can find it?

A: You can go anywhere and get a car with no down payment. Obviously you will need to have decent credit to get no money down, or make sure you get a car with a rebate.

Just walk into the dealer, pick out a car, and tell them zero down.

Friend from NY who lived in CA for a bit, then moved to Houston sold me her truck. It has CA plates but I don't think it's registered here. Additionally, she has no title. What paperwork do I need? State of Texas used car sale paperwork? CA paperwork? And what about title? What do I need to get the thing all legal, in my name ... here in the state of Texas ... with title?
I'm very comfortable the car is legit and wasn't stolen.

A: Get your money back. If your "friend" doesn't have the title, she does not own the truck, and can't legally sell it to you.

I just got a job at a convenience story working part-time at minimum wage so I don't have any money right now and I won't have enough for several months. A: thegreensheet.com but you would have to pay for the ad. Could also have it inserted into every edition that they offer in the DFW area. Pretty small fee. They say "Greensheet brings you buyers". Try it and see.

A: You culd start taking it apart properlayan selling pieces either on ebay or craigslist.org. Why dont you just sell it as one and take a lower payment but less hassle. Then go by a used honda or toyota. Good Luck

Q: can someone help?lemon law?
my brother in law bought a car in mexico(we live close to the border). he bought it from a man that has an american car license that supposedly they sale cars in texas but they found that the car was sold to them is not that safe.the motor is lower than the usual and the supports of the car are not good.he wants to know his rights with the lemon law,because when he bought the car he didnt kow anything about this,the guy is working for a tx. car lot that came out to be a junkyard and they buy the cars at auctions and repair them and sell them here in tx.but none of ths was told to him and he wants his money back and this guy wont give it to him.he wrote a letter saying that he was going to return the car and that he would give him the money back and the guy signed it but he didnt cuz the guy wrote something of his own on the paper ad he did not agree with it.can he press charges on the guy or what can he do.the lot is listed under car sales and when u call its a junkyard.

A: Let this be a good lesson to your brother-in-law! Next time, never buy a used car that says "sold as is" or with very limited warranty without checking out the car for yourself or with aid of a trusted mechanic. Always remember that sales people are usually out to sell and will attempt to sell anything they can for the commission!

Saw a car offered for sale and I know the titles in Texas on "normal" cars don't have blue titles.

I sold my car and now the buyer is tryign to scam me. I need to research waht his resposnibilites as a buyer in the state of Texas are, and what are mine as the seller. There was no contract. I am simply researching before I go to my attorney.

A: you sold the car as is if he dont know wat to look for the smart thing he should have done was to take somebody that knows about cars to tell him to buy it or not dont let him waste your time if he didnt ask you any questions then its all on him

Just moved to texas. my car broke doen. called the place where i got it. they won't fix it because it is out of state. I told them to come get it. the said no. for me to bring it. told them i don't want it. been over 3 months can i sale it to the junkyard.

Q: Texas Sales Tax on Car transfer?
I'm going through a very amiable split with my husband. We originally took out a car loan to purchase my car three years ago, but due to improper paperwork filing, it ended up being entirely in my husband's name, even though I paid all the repayments.
We went down to the bank to get the car transferred to my name, and found I had to refinance - essentially, I had to pay off his balance with a new loan, and then the new loan would be in my name. That was fine. Now they're slapping me with a State Sales Tax for "purchasing" the car from my husband!

Is this right? If so, is there any way to not pay the stupid sales tax, since it's not a legitimate sale?

A: Any time a car is "purchased" the applicable amount of sales tax must be charged and collected. From what you described, you bought the car from your husband. The title changed from just his name to yours, and money changed hands. So as far as the law is concerned it was a sale. I am sorry, but that's the correct answer. I am glad we live in Texas. In many other states they pay tax of food!

A: Only if the buyer is willing to give you a bill of sale for a lesser amount. Don't go ridiculously low or they will not believe it.
